the going RATE $$$$

what is the going price for the first timing belt service on a 05 NB tdi ,done by a nondealer vw mechanic.....in the Midwest? It should include new TB, Serp B, metal w/p,idlers and new bolts.

JasonTDI ends up being the guy that folks go to who use dealership networks first. Then after the dealer messers things up people get smart. Be smarter and use him in the fist place. It will cost you less in the long run. Nice guy to boot.

Where in IL are you at? Depending on which part of the state you're in, there's also Oilhammer in the St. Louis area, I believe. He's also a noted tdi guru.

My '00 is at Jason TDI right now for this very procedure. $800 + tax and by all accounts worth every penny.
