Just got mine back- Blown Turbo

After 1400 miles, the glow plug light started flashing and the check engine light came on. No power at all. Eventually found the turbo shaft had snapped. Car was down for 1 week. Needed a roadside assistance tow to the dealer.
I hope this was a fluke.

Sorry to hear about your turbo failure. Waiting for a tow in the winter isn't fun.
Could you please provide more details? Were there extreme cold ambient temps involved? Was the engine fully warm when the failure occured?
What's your driving style? How are you breaking in the engine?
It would be very helpful if you gave us more information.

The engine was not fully warm. It was being driven no differently than my "01 Jetta TDI with 190K on it has been driven its whole life (no issues).

As far as breaking it in. It has had lots of different conditions so far, but I have not been hard on it or done any long trips.
