Detached headliner in 2006 Jetta sedan

Ever seen a detached headliner in 2006 Jetta sedan? I was looking at one for sale with only 17k miles, yet the headliner had come loose behind the center light cluster and also pulled away from the roof on the passenger side of the rear. What causes this? Excessive heat? Is there any fix but to replace the headliner?

Probably heat related.

Only 17k miles though? I'd be worried of odo tampering.

I have 23k on mine and sometimes it goes months without being driven.
