Took the car to the dealer for 60k service. They called & suggested a new MAF was needed to increase power. Quote for installed MAF was $ 475. Said no. Purchased a new part (TDI MAF) & installed in 5 minutes.
Increased power is amazing! But after 2 days the CEL( my first) appeared about 30 seconds after start & does so every time.
Starting to worry if it’s damaging the car w/ CEL lit. Really don’t want to take to the dealer since I put the MAF in myself.
Any help would be great.

You should hook up with someone in your local area (Lightman??) that has VAGCOM so the DTCs can be read and you can determine what your car is trying to tell you.

What kind of air filter do you have?

None now. Former: 2011 335d, 2010 Jetta TDI, 2003 Jetta TDI Wagon. 99.5 Jetta TDI, 98 NB TDI, 3 different black 96 Passat TDI wagons.
It would be best to pull the codes and see what's up, but if your power is still there, it's not likely to be the MAF.
Glow plug wiring harness fault is a common intermittent code that shows up.
