Okay so no kill but a 2003 GTI 1.8T is my equal and I still get 50 miles per gallon.
We did a rolling stop at a stoplight drag race - even up to 70 mph
I moved up front a bit and he saw the and his grin (as big as my grin) was accompanied by a brief shaking of the head.

The weather was perfect - cool - fuel and IC temps were Ideal. Boost was sustaining higher than I wanted it to and I had a bit of undershoot between 2nd and 3th but still fast.
Problem was I nailed it after turning left and put one of those black soot streaks on the road (visible very clearly in the side mirrors
) and that started the whole thing. This driving slower for mileage makes up for these occasional lapses and use of power.
MAN does this thing boogie who needs that new 170 180+ whatever HP 1.8T
