How do the registration numbers look so far compared to previous TDIfests? Is there usually a surge in registrations that happens during the final week or so before TDIfest? How are we doing so far, given the size of the venue?

Just trying to understand all the dynamics at work as the 'fest date approaches.

Great questions!

This year's registrations have been very steady compared to previous years, although overall numbers are down by comparison. Dieselgate certainly isn't doing us any favors with regard to excitement about TDIs, so that probably has something do with it.

Historically, we get a surge in registrations in the two weeks leading up to Fest. If that happens again this year, which I fully expect it to, our numbers will be comparable to last year's Fest. The venue this year isn't nearly as spread out as Sunday River was, so the overall feeling should be busier. I think this size venue was the right choice for this year.

We're up to 86 people as of noon today. There is some great momentum right now. :D

In the coming days, I will be posting the event agenda, a list of tech sessions, attending vendors, and meal menus.

I'm sure Dieselgate will be a major topic of discussion among 'fest attendees.

Looking forward to TDIfest! :)

Btw vendors need tax ID# to do business in wi. Etides was not a wi participant. I remember Irs officer john smith stopped by in his red ford escort and made all the vendors apply for wi tax id#. I don't sell taxable goods but had to pay tax on my labor that weekend for pa and wi. Sucks when Irs double dips without recipricocity.
