Hello, I have a 1988 Audi 80, its a B3 chassis. Well the body is in really nice shape. But it has high miles (almost 200k to be exact). I was wondering how easy it would be to swap a TDI in it. Currently I have the 3a 4 cylinder 2.0L in it. It seems to me this should be the easy stuff.

Exhaust manifolds swap over.

Bolts up to transmission bellhousing easy. And starter should bolt right up too.

If I get an older obd1 should wire up fairly easy since the car has CISE currently.

Transmission is geared towards a diesel it seems like. I'm at about 3k for 70mph which should be fine.

Heres where it might get hairy...

Motor mounts, I've been looking at alh pictures, so far thats a direct mount up.

Turbo plumbing, not exactly sure how it looks on a TDI. But I do have alot of room in my engine compartment.

Can anybody supply some input for me. Mainly pictures of engine mounting spots/turbo plumbing, or general knowledge.
