Nova Scotia do crushing

Was at Kenny’s u pick, on the way in there was a line of tdis including a black Passat that looked great, staff said they were there to be crushed. On way out 30 minutes later, the Passat was gone.

My guess a 2012-2014 manual that got bought back.

either that or you guys are really quick with disposing of cars after hurricanes!

Saw a yard full of used vws in a storage yard too, few hundred of various models and years.

Hurricane wise, not many vehicles were flooded here, we had lots of warning and were well prepared. We had 6.4 inches of rain where I live, Some surge, and winds were cat 1. I live on the ocean in Mahone Bay area.

What tdis are fixable and what tdis are not fixable and being crushed?

Is my 2015 mt good for the Long term? I bought it in 2017 from vw after the buyback of my 2014.

They are all "fixable" besides the '12-'14 manual Passats. But VW is crushing most cars bought back with over 120k miles, as well as those in rough shape.

Our 2010 jetta with 140k on the clock took a ferry ride out of RI. Can't really blame VW its all about liability and future risk of warranty work.

120k isn't tough to hit to the average TDI owner who bought them to drive them. it was the "eco mpg people" that bought them and put on <5K yr that VW is reselling.

*sniff* *sniff* so that's where my '12 6MT went...

make sure you wipe your tears away with the $1,000s of dollars VW gave you for your troubles.
