B4 Intake pipe repair or replacement?

On my 96 Passat, my intake pipe is cracking all around where it slides onto the turbo. The hard plastic end is all cracked up, but the top end is good.

I was curious if anyone has made a repair on these that works? I don't want any broken pieces to go through the turbo.

It seems to be a dealer item as far as I can tell that's over $100. But I did find a better price at this place.

thickened 2 part epoxy, use super glue to set it and then apply successive layers of epoxy, tedious, but cheap
or
thick wall heat shrink tubing- http://www.mcmaster.com/#heat-shrink-tubing/=f4xm4t several selections with a preshrink ID of 2" and up. I used heat shrink on a MKIV vacuum pipe, lasted for over a year.

Now that sounds like a creative idea.

I had thought about getting a 2" coolant elbow and cutting off the end of the pipe and clamping it on. But I don't know how the rubber might hold up with the oil that seems to find it's way into the pipe over time from the PCV.

My pipe has pieces that have broken and fallen out, so I don't know if the bottom end is salvageable.
