...with LED Smoked version.

Even though they matched the plate...

Sidemarkers got smoked.

Rear Jetta Badge got some love...

And the same to the TDI badge.

I'm just loving how this looks

Steering wheel got a little irie!!! (Thanks Kliimotorwerks for the great custom job)

Ordered Eibach Pro Kit Springs and Koni FSD Shocks.

Rear Reflectors got swapped out

For color matched inserts. Broke one tab pulling off car. Not easy to pull off.

Lower Grill had too much chrome

Replaced stock with black Golf lower grill. Much better.

Also installed Fogs, Smoked Side Mirror Signals and Blue Blind Spot Mirrors

And continued to tone down the chrome by installing new VW emblems.

Rear looks awesome.

Had some Eibach Pro Kit Springs and Koni FSD Shocks installed at Tyrol Sport in Queens. About a 1.5 inch wheel gap reduction. Spring/shock combo really helps handling and bumpy NY roads.

Had the ECU tuned by Mark Malone and Les at Diesel Dubs in PA. Stage 1.5 along with a DSG Tune. I couldn't be more pleased. Night and day.

Dipped the stock Porto's using dipyourcar's True Mettaloc Anthracite Plasti dip. About 6-7 coats and then 5-6 coats of glossifier on top. Really great product.

Installed Double Apex USB Charger. Very easy install.

Found a great iPhone mount. Kenu Airframe is amazing, discreet and easily removable. Hooks right into any size vent. Love.

Installed Whisp Bars and RockyMount Euro Fork for the Trek. Modded the bars a bit to allow sunroof clearance and mounted the Euro Fork backwards to allow both sunroof and rear hatch clearance.

Then I wrapped the Whisp Bars with some leftover Shadowline vinyl that I had used on the chrome window trim. Just need to be careful when mounting the Euro Fork. It's held up so far and looks super slick in black.

Installed the OEM Euro R Xenon Headlights finally. Used and modded a Kufatec harness (no switch to a Highline CECM). Light output is 1000x better. Also reinstalled the Ziza City Lights I had been using in the stock halogens since I love the color they emit. Look even better in the Xenons City Light.

Peeled the Plasti Dip off the wheels. Held up great but didn't like the black with dark wheel combo as much as I thought I would. Wanted to go back to the silver.

All red LED everything.

Removed the ECS Smoked Side Markers and replaced them with color matched versions instead to give a nice clean look to the front end.

Installed thicker Rear Sway Bar. Hotchkiss 27mm 3 setting Adjustable Seay Bar. I have it on the middle setting.

Removed the all chrome JSW DSG trim and replaced it with the Black and Chrome trim (left side of pic) from the Golf/GTI. Operation tone down the chrome continues.

Got bumpers painted and a few dents taken care of. Then sadly put the front plate back on, just this time using new US Millworks Tow Hook Mount.

Installed my P3 gauge

Installed Deautokey LED Reverse Bulbs. Day and night between these and the stock Halogen bulbs. Stock left, LED right. I can SEE!!!!!!!

New OEM 18" Vicenza Wheels mounted with Summer Continental DW Tires.

First... reserved....:)

WOW that is a lot of black on black mono-chrome style...

I have had many black cars... maybe my favorite color... but shows dirt, dings more, and does get hoter than a lot color car. with that said...

Pretty car, did not know there were that many accessories.... thanks for posting...I never knew there was so many accessories...

What is this, license plate holder? http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/04/03/0f486f9387a7de869de79f97d7ce359d.jpg
What is it for, don't get it. It looks trick, but behind the plate you can't see it... what is the threaded tube with flange at other end?

Hey Jet. Yes, the black is a constant upkeep but I had a vision when I purchased her (I call it mission "tone down the chrome") and so far it's really starting to come together.
The license plate mount is the U.S. Millworks Tow Hook License Plate Mount. I purchased this when I had my body shop fill the huge holes the dealer originally drilled into the front bumper with the intent of being able to remove the front plate for pix and when at car shows. There are a bunch of holes in the back mounting plate so that you are free to mount the plate in different positions. Also it reduces the weight of he plate bracket as well.

Fantasiamon,

I've followed your progress in other threads, and I must say I like your style. The car looks great. If I weren't cheap, I'd be copying your mods because you've done it just the way I like.

Sweet wagon. I had the same color dip on those same wheels for a few months last year before getting some 18s.

Where did you get the color-matched rear bumper inserts?

ESE Tuning. Stand warned, it's a pain in the arse to get the stock rear bumper reflectors out.

Side Markers are from ESE as well.

How do you like your USB charger? I had never heard or seen of that until looking at your build thread today. I'm definitely interested in getting 2 of those and the garage door opener.... when I'm done with all the 'serious' modifications and starting to get bored lol. Sweet wagen by the way!

Did your reverse light leds throw the check light code or did you have to use resistors?
