A conservatice price for a 2015 Passat Highline (SEL)

I have a tendency to overvalue my car for insurance purpose.


In case of a total loss they only pay book value , more or less.
The time is getting near when I need to buy my car insurance for Mexico for 6 months, the insurance bases this on USA prices for the car.

What would a 2015 be worth?
30,000 miles and all the usual goodies on the car for that model including Nav.

OK, thanks that gives me a better idea for insurance purposes.

No offense, I don't think there's anything wrong with over valuing a TDI as insurance is concerned, the rarity is only going to go up as the miles pile on the pool of 2015s. The more money, you have if it gets totaled, is going make the search a lot easier.

should ask your carrier if you can pay a little extra for an "agreed value" option.
