Search engine troubles

I've tried every combination to pull up valid search results, but nothing regarding what I enter comes up. I've used this feature in the past with success but what's changed? I don't want to ask questions about things already discussed, but the search engine just isn't working for me. I tried doing a search for "timing belt" and not one reference came back in the subject heading with "subject" only selected in the search. Is there a Faq page for using the search feature? I sure could use some help!

You need to put a + in front of the words you search for. Also put the words in quotes - "". Also, do not put a space between the + and the "". So, if you were searching for "timing belt", you would enter +"timing belt".

I don't know why, but it works...
