Anyone having issues with their AM channels?

Just came back from the Dealer - The tech reports, seeing a few with defective radio unit. Mine is interesting, the antenna on the rear glass have been burned apart at 2 locations on the upper right.

Is anyone seeing this issue?

There was another thread on poor or no AM reception not that long ago.

2 weeks ago my AM radio stopped working for an hour. Now its fine.
I have to take my car in for several other reason's but been putting it off. I dont like spending all day at the dealership.

I don't know if it's the same issue you're facing but my AM would stop working occasionally for a hour and then start working again. Seemed to do that once a month or so. When I went in for my 10,000 mile service and mentioned it, they said there was a tech note with a software upgrade that addressed it. I have not had any issues since the upgrade. It's not the same upgrade floating around on the forum addressing the iPod issue ... this one upgrades the radio software. Mine is an 03/2010 RCD510.
