So, what do we think about the new VW logo?

I get that they're going for the retro vibe, but given that VW's past (and origin) is WW2-era Germany...????

Also, it reminds me of the crudely approximated logo that came on some of the early Chinese knock-off parts, a particular example being the Mk4 "euro" headlight switch.

So they went with a little thinner lines? Is that it?

Meh - who cares. They aren't bringing in diesels anymore, and I was never a fanboy.

ZZZ....zzzzzz......ZZZZ....zzzzz...

Looks nearly identical to the '67 logo. Harking back to the glory days. It's not like they're going to the '37 logo w/ stylized swastika.

Good point - I'd forgotten about the swastika-adjacent "flags" that were on the original.
This Medium post by Sanketa Kapse contains the graphic below, which provides a good history of the evolution of the logo.

And to turbobrick240's point above...how is the "new" logo different from the 1967 iteration?!
