Touareg steering wheel buttons not working

Hello,
My steering wheel buttons are not working on my 2009 Touareg. Suddenly they stopped working they do not illuminate and a simbol of cruice control fault is on my dashboard. No airbag lights and the horn works perfectly. I read some post and people having similar problems where diagnosed with a faulty clockspring. I took it to the dealer and the dealer said clockspring. Well today and change the clickspring and guess what, same problem. No airbag light, horn working but no buttons.

Is there a fuse for that? What other module could be causing this?

Any ideas? Please help

If the horn works and the airbag light isn't on it won't be the clockspring. There is an electronic module in the steering wheel that's either disconnected (broken wire?) or it's dead. Not sure if it's replaceable alone, might need a new steering wheel.
