Yo awesome build on that ARL you have. Wanting to do it myself on my pd115 ajm myself. What kind of power did you get? And what would i have to do to get it to work nicely? Gottuned recommended me the same turbo (GTD1752VRK) would pd150 injectors be enough for that turbo to perform good? And did you decat the car with the turbo? would that be a must? Need to stay under tight restrictions here in Norway

Gtd1752vrk is a nice turbo to have however consider going to a 20 size turbine wheel if you’re considering going high speed on motorway! A gtb2260vk I have just finished a few weeks ago does 450Nm at 2000 rpms, I don’t think you need more as a daily driver ! You get a touch more lag compared to a ball bearing chra but it’s ok once spooked up ! Gtb2260vk are plentiful and easy to repair/replace when they go wrong !

If you're looking for another option for a quality turbo, look no further than these turbos:
https://pioneering-performance.com/...-custom-cast-manifold-billet-compressor-wheel

Or: https://pioneering-performance.com/...asz-alh-including-custom-cast-manifold-billet
Then if you wanna get even better response, you can upgrade to a lightweight turbine wheel: https://pioneering-performance.com/...gtb2260vklr-upgrade-lightweight-turbine-wheel

The best part of these turbos is that you can use your existing downpipe with this turbo. You do need to purchase the VKLR oil and water cooling kit. https://pioneering-performance.com/...60vklr-inc-gasket?_pos=2&_sid=3708dc409&_ss=r

Good luck with your decision.

Plug and play is nice, but Chinese produced knock-off components with no supporting dyno charts to back up the premium pricing does not attract me at least....

Agreed - would be nice if these "turbo developers" could show some evidence of performance using a gas stand and give us some maps to allow some proper matching and tuning to be put into efficient zones rather than quote HP numbers...

Just bought trans/diff/transfer case fluid kits from Blauparts. Any mechanics that can do this in the n/nw side on two 2014 Touareg TDis?

Adam doesn't use/produce Chinese knock off products! Maybe you should do a little bit of searching before you make claims that there aren't any dyno charts. 😉
There's a dyno chart on this page:
https://pioneering-performance.com/pages/vklr-group-buy

Or check out their Facebook page to see the development of their cast manifold. https://m.facebook.com/177125342784162/

Check out the above links to see that they're products are developed and made in house.

I stand corrected :)

Still it is a knock off product the turbo itself not being genuine Garrett units.

And I struggle to see that all castings are done in UK comparing to the price levels of getting the same work done in China, then maybe doing some of the finer machining in house afterwards.

I have had housings cast and machined for me in smaller series in China so I know the price levels there are crazy low.

I have had turbos made by Adam Davidson at pioneering performance a whole decade ago, none of them ever went wrong ! These turbos were driven hard and took the pounding ! As mentioned below Adam is a sound guy to work with and his prices reasonable for trade and good considering the competition from Eastern Europe ! I do not want to start a pissing contest but every problem that arised he dealt with properly this he built a good name for himself rathe quick on Uk forums ! In the end we all get what we pay for, pay peanuts- get monkey !
