vag com status -99

I plug vag com in to my 2000 jetta tdi and it seems to kick it off line alot, this is was comes up, any help?

If you purchased your cable from Ross Tech, give them a call, Andy should be able to help out. If you purchased your cable off eBay... um... give Ross Tech a call and purchase a cable from them.

it is a ross tech cable, i was just wondering if any one had problems with vista settings and this program. it seems to stop working after a couple of minutes. and i havent had time to call ross tech yet
