Need help with ECM - no communications error

Just bought a new to me Golf and it started idling rough. It runs fine, maybe a little low on power (this could be that it is stock and my previous Golf had a tune and nozzles), but the idle is rough. Background is it's an automatic to manual swap car (the TCM is still in the car) and it has a 10mm IP on it (I don't know the story on that and neither does the previous owner). The engine coding shows 00002 (manual transmission). When I scanned it with VAGCOM the below scan is what I got. What caught my eye was the instruments and CAN gateway are showing the same errors: 01314 ECM - no communications - intermittent and 01315 TCM - no communications. Why would the instruments and CAN gateway still be looking for a TCM if the ECM is coded to manual transmission? What is causing the intermittent no communications with the ECM? The Gateway is coded for automatic. Change the Gateway coding to 00006, clear codes and then see where you stand.

Thanks Jef. It cleared up the ECM, TCM, and airbag errors. The temp sensor error and data bus in emergency mode have stuck around. New scan results are below.

Verify wiring between instrument cluster and temp sensor are good. If so, then I'd suggest replacing the coolant temp sensor.

Connect to the Comfort Control Module and go into Measuring Block group 012 and see if field 1 shows 1 wire or 2 wire operation. If it shows 1 wire operation, verify CAN Gateway wiring to door modules are good. You can also try unplugging the door modules and see if it goes to 2 wire, sometimes they can fail internally and cause something like this to happen.

However, on the Comfort Bus, it it is in 1 wire operation, you would never know it, everything will still operate normally.
