My tdi started this problem over the course of roughly a week. I noticed it stall out going around a corner (started easily in neutral).
The next day or two I noticed it stalling just a bit if I tried revving it over 3000 rpm. A day or so later I started it but as soon as I revved it it would stall; it would idle fine but as soon as I stepped on the pedal it would stall out.
Finally, the next day, it would start and run for a second or two and then stall out.

I pulled the fuel line at the filter to see if I had fuel coming from the tank (I did).
I then changed the filter and refilled the filter compartment with fuel so it wasn't empty.
Car still wouldn't run.
I towed the car to a garage; they said it was the cam.
Called a cam distributer to order one and described the problem.
He said it didn't sound like the cam to him. I have to trust him as he lost a cam sale but now I still am not sure what the issue is.
I can't drive my car at all:(
Any ideas please?
BTW the engine is a BRM
