Default One fob toots horn, the other doesn't...

Bought a 2012 JSW last month.
Came with two key fobs.
They both lock and unlock the car.
On locking, one fob toots the horn, the other doesn't.

Ideas?

Thanks!

Bizarre - no idea how/why that'd happen.
Be sure to update here when you figure it out.

Not sure on the JSW, but on my Passat, settings are per fob, not global, so it might be as simple as those preferences are set differently . . .

Those preferences are set with VCDS/VAG-COM ?
Or in the 'normal' settings in the car MFD?

Probably both.

In the Passat, on the MFD. A lot of settings are unique to the fob that unlocked the car. Lock/unlock, lighting prefs, etc. are per fob . . .

As stated already these settings are often key fob dependent. Therefore, the first decision you have to make is: which option is the one you want? Toot or no toot? Whichever key fob works the way you want - leave it in the house. Then take the one that doesn't work the way you want and go to the car. Turn on the ignition, and look through the MFD menus for "ATA confirm" (ATA = Automatic Theft Alarm and the confirm is for horn confirmation that the ATA is armed).
If this "ATA confirm" is not in your MFD menus, you will need VCDS to set this option. It probably is in the menus somewhere since somebody already turned it on (or off) for one of the FOBs.

Have Fun!

Thanks!
I didn't realize that the 'ATA confirm' in the MFD had a check in the box for one fob but not the other.
Problem solved!
"Not a bug, a feature" and RTFM !
Never too old to learn- as long as I have the internet to help!
