As the thread title says,
Has anybody here installed an 02Q 6 spd tranny in a mk4?

I'm aware of the speed sensor issue and the clutch issues.
Has anyone found a workable solution to this?
Are there any other issues besides the usual ones when installing an 02M?

Any help or links would be appreciated.

I believe the entire bolt pattern is different... I seem to recall someone asked this a few months ago and that's what oilhammer said...

Hmmm... Adapter plate, some sort of mainshaft extension adapter? If someone were intrepid enough a kit could be designed.
The 02J's are, like the rest of these cars, becoming slowly obsolete.

Easiest is to buy a MKIV TDI specific 6sp imported legally from Europe. Chris also is a DKM clutch dealer so he can set you up (his kits include a good used clutch, but he sells upgrades).

He is in the process of setting up a website
