Looking for input...
Toying with the idea of allowing the dealer to perform the emissions fix (when it hits the street??) and then installing a "MP-8 Pro, from TS Performance. They advertise a boost of 50HP and 100Ft pounds of torque.

Thoughts,

Probably a waste of money, and false advertising. They do make some decent products for diesel trucks. Way better off with a flashzilla or q-loader from Malone or kerma.

We've been considering buying one for testing as they seem to be somewhat popular.

There is no way they're making 50HP/100lb-ft just by increasing the rail pressure and whatever injector trickery they're doing, and if they're increasing it that much the system *may* fail prematurely. Cylinder pressure sensors and other things get in the way by that point. As is the passats and ea288 platform barely hit 300lb-ft on our dynapack (80lb-ft increase), and yes that includes competitors tunes. By comparison a stage 2 + APR mk6 golf R with every bolt on under the sun made 290lb-ft with a weird spike to 310lb-ft (repeatable) as boost was over 200mbar over requested. Abarths are making 210-220 tuned and hitting 170 stock, we've got the thing calibrated fairly accurately for crank figures and it's within a fraction of a horsepower consistently.

Generic tuning boxes do not compare to proper ECU remaps.
