Seemed to be in pretty good shape - didn't smoke at all! Gave the driver the thumbs-up as I passed but got no reaction at all. This whip looked pretty darn sweet to be 25 years old, a good land yacht for cruising around at 45 mph.

Nice find! I'll bet those sleds are about as rare as hen's teeth these days. How did you get such nice clear pictures without wrecking the Golf?

Gotta learn how to steer with your knees so you can hold the camera with both hands. Sorta like being able to fall backwards in a chair and not spill your beer.

...or just wait until there's ample light so the digital camera is up around the 1/300th of a second "shutter speed" or better.

Actually I just had a looksee at the exif data for those two pictures and one is 1/196th of a second, the other is 1/135th of a second. How the heck did I take those clear pictures anyway?!

Ah yes - a semi-decent road and good suspension always helps!
