I am replacing the rear bearings on my 01 TDI Golf. All going smoothly until putting new hub assy. back on. There is a slight lip on the outboard edge of the stub. Is this a separate piece or is it meant to stay there and I am supposed to force the new bearing on over it. It appears to be "in the way" . . . sorta. I have seen nothing on any of the threads indicating pressing the new assembly back onto the stub is an ordeal, but this seems to be less than smooth. Am I making a mountain out of a mole hill?
