front spring swap vr6 question

I was sure I read that vr6 front springs would swap on to mk5 jetta tdi, in order to level out the front with the rear when swapping HD towing springs in the rear (raising the rear 2").


Just got the new stock front shock and the VR6 springs, however im not sure how they would work as they are different diameters top and bottom of spring.

Tiguan front springs are the go-to for the mk5 & mk6 platforms.
If your spring & strut bearing fit together at the top and the bottom can seat in the bottom of the strut, you should be ok.
I wouldn’t install on the car if I didn’t have a fit at both ends.
