Just left a VW Orillia information session.
I don't work for VW, but my dealer session was extremely well done and everyone had questions answered with all detail available legally right now by Colin from Orillia VW.
March 31st 2016 is the Ontario court decision on the fix being tested for 2009-2014 vehicles.
April 1st the three option site goes live.
You decide:
1. Wait for the possible fix - only 2015 now
2. Trade in - no negotiations on value
3. Buy back
Based upon your choice you register and have a check list of items to bring to your appointment with a TDI specialist at the dealer. The TDI specialist at the dealer appointment is a roughly 35-45 minute session.
If you choice is buy back at your appointment.
You have 2,000.00 kilometres maximum in 25 days of usage. On the 25th day you get your cheque. If you go over 2,000.00 kilometres the process and 25 days starts again.
Your kilometres at your TDI meeting registered is calculated from the day you make your appointment and estimated to the date of September 2015. NOT THE ACTUAL September 2015 value of the kilometres.
You have till June 15th 2018 to make your choice. You can still have the buy back and drive till June 15th 2018.
Incentives now to buy another VW is a 0.5% discount on current financing rate. More purchase incentives will be announced April 1st 2016.
