Just picked up two jugs at the Mapleview store in Barrie to do the first oil change on the wagon. On sale from $39.99 (The T6 anyhow). Weird how the T5 was the same price...
Reg $39.99, on sale this week $29.99 is what I think he meant?Bill, the title of your post says 29.99...
It is $29.99, FROM $39.99.Bill, the title of your post says 29.99...
0w40 would be the T5 productGood deal, bought a jug of 0W-40 (can't remember if it was T5 or T6) for my gasser plus a jug of Mobil1, which is also on sale this week plus an $8 off coupon: http://www.canadiantire.ca/affiliates/promo/autocoupon/
Neither T5 0w40 nor T6 5w40 meet any VW spec. They are API truck oils (and very good ones at that!) and are permissible in your engine type per the owner's manual. In some ways the are "better" than VW 505.00 oils.does the T5 or T6 meet the vw 505 spec?
Should work fine in the BRM as well.I know some guys are running T6 5W40 in there BEW, would this be fine in the BRM, would be nice to keep one type of oil around, for the ALH and BRM
i know the 2011 needs different stuff, but that's ok
T5 0w40 is an older oil (meets older truck and car specs), T6 is a newer oil. No direct comparison can be made.So T5 is the same stuff as T6 but 0W40?
I like to use Pento HP2, but might give T5 a try if it compares to T6 (full synthetic, nice numbers and all that jazz). Thanks!
It could be a year-round oil. I think around -20C you'd notice a difference. Thanks Bob, I was just thinking it could be nice as a winter oil, although I never had a problem with my oil (5W40) in the winter
Which T5 was this?saw Rotella T5 Synthetic at walmart for $18
i think it was 5w-40Which T5 was this?
tractor trailer places like ontario filter or traction sell them for 15$ sometimes.Which T5 was this?
As far as I know, the 5w40 flavor is T6, and $18 would be a good price for it.i think it was 5w-40
(that price is good right?)
edit: i saw it in passing. will go back and buy if everything checks out.
