Pine sap/bubble gum removal

Does anybody know a good way of removing pine sap and bubble gum from the paint without damaging it? I just came back from 5 days of parking in the woods in New Hampshire, and there is pine sap dripped in 6 places on my car. I discovered gum splattered on my fender yesterday, and I cant get it off. Thanks everybody!

For gum, use tar remover. For sap, use clay. I have used Clay magic (the best stuff at the store) and zainobros.com clay (the best of them all!). Go there and get all the stuff to polish your car.
Basically, you spray solution on your car and wipe the caly across. It will pick up the sap. Your car will be smooth and ready for polish.

Pine tar - bug and tar remover will do it. Ditto for bubble gum.

WD-40 is also real good for bubble gum removal.

Wash thoroughly after using the tar remover and re-wax. Bug-n-tar remover will remove the existing wax.

I have to agree with using WD-40...it works on almost anything!!!

Just make sure to use plenty of soap to get the WD-40 off, but it'll do the job.
