I am putting a set of depo lights that I picked up in my car.

They have H1 55w and 56w bulbs in them.

In my original DOT lights I upfraded to 9005 bulbs and it's my understanding this has a slightly higher lumen output.

Is there a way to use the 9005s in the depo's and if not what is the best bulb to put in the depo's?

My suggestion: Put a relay headlight harness in with the H1 bulbs. You will pick up lots more lumens out of the H1 bulbs.

The relay harness made a nice difference in my Hella E-Codes.

Thanks for the reply, where would I get a relay harness?

You can find generic relay harnesses at places like Summit Racing for a reasonable price. There's some fancier ones out there if you're looking to do things like plug in Euro lights to a NA harness.
