Default Advice please! Should I buy a 2013 or 2015 GSW?

Been lurking on the forums long time now (5+ years) but now I need help. My Mk4 Jetta is so small with the family and as such I am looking at CPO GSW. My local dealership has a few that have my attention .
All DSG and Highline Note CND prices
Buy back -> 2013 with 60k KM (37. MI) 6 months left of original factory warranty + CPO Warranty + extended emissions warranty. In service date 2013
Buy back -> 2015 with 63K KM (40k MI) in service date of May 2015 and all applicable warranties
Stop Sale -> 2015 with 48k KM (29k MI) in service date of April 2017! Original owner and all warranties just started.
I really like the 11 year 262,000km bit on the 2015s. Is it really worry free driving?
With the 2013 I would be doing a EGR/ DPF delete and tune. Thus I only have to worry about the HPFP.
Do I save the money on the 2013 and drive on or best to play it safe with the 2015?

I'm not seeing the prices in your post (?).

Keep in mind I never owned a Mk6 (rented one a couple times), but to me, the Mk7 is such a massive upgrade over everything that came before, plus the engine / fuel / emissions warranty....it'd be a no-brainer for me to take the Mk7 - even at a significant premium over the 2013.

price gap is significant. $8k spread from the 2013 to the one with a 2017 delivered date. Based on that it could be said the later is 4 years newer. The car sat in the shipping port for 2 years tho.

I mean, I'm important aesthetics are to you, but damn - the Mk7s just looks soooooooo much nicer than the 2013. If you drive at night, you'll really appreciate the HID lights and adaptive lighting on the Mk7, too.

I know - it's not my money and it's easy to spend other people's money, but I was in similar position - just with prices of both higher. The Mk6 was just so "meh" to me, that I plunked down significantly more for the Mk7 (which is totally against my nature - I mean, I do drive TDIs - 'nuff said, right? , and I was in a 2003 up until getting the Mk7).

I traded from a 2009 MkV up to a 2015 MkVII, so this may not help. In addition to the wonderful lighting system [Alaska is plenty dark this time of year!] I also like that the top gear for the DSG is lower. At 100 km /hr on the '09, I was running over 2100 RPM. With the '15, I'm running around 1800. I like that better. Also, I can see better fuel usage, even after the stage 1 fix. I also use the phone through the audio system when others call me. Hands free is just plain safer.

Coming from a mk4, the mk7 SEL/Highline is like an Audi. Long term the Mk7 is a better play however, resisting tuning it and voiding the warranty is a test of self control.

Interesting the general consensus is the EA288 gets better fuel economy Vs its predecessor. Any cost savings would be marginalized by the cost of the DEF requirement

Ended up getting the 2015. Significantly more money vs 2013 but Hid headlights, little more room. Warranty just started in 2017 due to it being a stop sale

Nice car. My brother has the same 2015 GSW TDI in the 6 speed and loves it. Considering its the CR150 (CRUA) and is the last year sold in the US should hold its value REALLY well. Enjoy!
