Default More diesel History

When I realized the Jetta came in a diesel I was interested for many reasons some personal. My father's Uncle was Vernon Roosa who worked for Stanadyne in CT where I grew up. He passed on a few years ago but I did get to spend a great deal of time with him growing up. He was a very prolific inventor despite the fact he never graduated High School. Below are a couple links on his contributions to diesel technology.

If anyone else knows of more info I would appreciate it. I found these on my first search.
