Has anyone sucessfully turned down there EGR on a 2006 using vag-com?

If you did that you'd have an exagust leak. You could just unplug the connecter which powerers the valve, so that the egr is disabled. Of corse this illeagel, and you should not drive on the highway with this configuration.

He is referring to the legal consequences ...

Connect the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirc) system to the drain tube?? I don't think so!! The EGR system doesn't have a "drain tube". Somebody's thinking about something else.

Instant "check engine" MIL warning lamp. And, the "throttle" will attempt to close in order to increase EGR flow, which will starve the engine of air and cause tons of white stinky exhaust out the back. Yes, you can remove the "throttle" so that this does not happen. But ... the MIL will still be on.
