As usual, there always seems to be some errors in a story about diesel cars. Note how he fails to correctly state when the V10 TDI was available.

Fun article, for those whose budgets and taste allow an SUV over $50 grand. I love it too, as I enjoy watching other people's money as I go down the road. Same thing as I drive past all the high-dollar Kentucky horse farms.

The Tauareg TDI starts at $47k and goes up to $58k. It competes well with Acura MDX, Jeep Grand Cherokee, etc, while offering much more torque and less fuel consumption.
