How much should a new thermostat and heater blower cost?

I think my dealer has given me a much-too-high estimate to replace my blower for heat and A/C. Any idea what that should come to?

Also, I think my thermostat may be stuck open as in cold weather it take forever to get to normal temps and sometimes never does! What should a new thermostat cost?

Blower lists for ~$300 but I've seen them discounted under $200. Thermostat, housing and seal are ~$30. G13 coolant is $20/gal. Thermostat takes ½ an hour to change, but the blower replacement requires major disassembly of the console and dash.

Actually the blower can be replaced with just removing the glove box.

I have a used one. PM if interested.

ONLY use the VW t-stat and coolant. (Pentosin is OK too)
