HPFP timing

Hi all. I have a hopefully easy question. Doing a TB on a 2014 Passat. Everything pinned and good to go. I thought it would be a good idea to pull the timing pin on the HPFP for ease of putting on the timing belt. The timing cog moved when I did. I have it pinned back up but want to make sure that since nothing else moved that it should be still timed properly. Can't seem to find anything about it in my search. Thanks in advance.

It should be fine. You repinned the pump before installing the belt right? The hpfp isn't critical to timing like the injection pump on earlier tdi's. You just don't want the pressure pulses out of whack.

yes repined before any install completed. Ok I thought I would likely be ok but just want to be sure. Thanks for the quick response.
