Finally putting my ALH Golf back together and when I was about to install the cam and seal, I noticed the #1 cam cap has a small nick on the face. Not sure how that happened, but is it going to cause problems with sealing?

You hit it with something.

Just use some very fine sandpaper on the tip of your finger to smooth-en.
Or, leave it alone. Whatever.

Will not be a problem to front cam seal.

98 Jetta TDI AHU 1.9L (944 TDI swap in progress) I moved so now i got nothing but an AHU in a garage on a pallet.
Take down the high spot, with tool of choice. I would add a tiny dab of rtv there but that's probably unnecessary
