The turbocharger is watercooled in order to reduce outside temperatures of its turbine case which is good for engine room temperature and, correspondingly, engine efficiency.
This exceptionally sturdy and refined 5 cylinder draws its power, among other factors, from a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry (VTG-charger) and from boost intercooling. The engine will brighten your day with a torque of over 300 newtonmeter at any speed between 1700 and 3100 rpm, with low fuel efficiency and minimum emissions.
It complies with "Bodensee II regulations" (BSO II) even in twin engine configuration and will also meet future emission regulations according to EU 94/25
