2002 VW Beetle TDI after market lift pump wire questions ?

Hello have a 2002 vw TDI Been having problem with loosing prime from fuel tank. Causes a no start problem .This is model that has no fuel pump,just injection pump to draw fuel from tank. Replaced fuel filter and cleaned the fuel pick up in tank. I ended up adding a lift pump in engine compartment to liven it up .Now I need to figure a good location to get power .Trying to find a way to wire it so a safety shut off can work with pump.Thanks

There is a spot in the relay box where you can add a relay and a wire for a lift pump. Don't know if it's wired in the rear tho. That's a question for someone who has looked into it. It's labeled 87f/diesel. Turns on for a moment when you open the door, off when in start mode, on during normal running. Atleast from what I've read
