Hi,

I have a code:

00522 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (G62)
30-10 Open or Short to Plus - intermittent

I put in a new temp sensor and the code did not clear. (update: I attempted to clear with VCDS/VAG-COM)

I tested the pins on the connector and one line to the ECU goes to ground, is this expected or do I have a short in my harness?

Thanks.
Gregor

Did you manually clear it? Generally speaking on intermittent codes clearing them first and seeing if they return is the firs step for something like this.

with the battery disconnected, does that wire that tests to ground have continuity with ANY other wire on that plug? if yes, and it tests to ground, then you have a short. also what colour is the wire?
