Has any one else seen this issue?

On my 2013 passat 6M and with the fog lights on i noticed last night as i was facing a building with windows that my right hand fog light was not working and then when i put the car into reverse the light came on which i was able to repeat .

Back up lights work normally .



Called dealer and of course they have not heard of it .

Normal operation. Which is something your dealer is clueless about. Read your owner's manual.

What you saw was the cornering lights. The computer will turn on the light on the side of the car you're turning the wheel to when you are stopped or going slow. The system also turns both lights on when you shift into R.

Most likely your right fog light was out as you were facing the building because you pulled in turning left. Thus, it turned on your left fog light to help you when cornering.

Did you have the fog lights in the ON position?

ok stupid me , checked again and it was both lights .

Hi , normal lights on .

Weird been driving this car and first time i had seen this .
