Im looking to purchase a rebuilt kp39 from Frans @ Dutch Auto Parts, does anyone have any experience with his rebuilt turbos? Apparently he changes out the core and vnt mechanism as well as doing a vsr balancing on it, any experiences anyone?

No experience with his turbos, however, I've purchased a few things from him and I have had good experiences.
Waiting to see responses on his turbos, I might try one of looking at turbos. I have a vnt17 on though and not in that market.

Yeah he seems to have a good rep on the forums, still I wanna hear from someone about the longevity on rebuilds.

5k trouble free miles on vnt 15 rebuild by Frans. If you don’t want to spend $800+ on a turbo it’s the best option. Nevada_tdi has good experience with them too. Never heard of bad experiences.

I purchased a rebuilt turbo from him in 2015.
80k miles later still pulling strong, minimal play and oil consumption.
My car is stock, i use rotella t6 with added zddp and replace it 10k miles.
I try to not lug my engine and my upshifts are at minimum of 3krpm.
My driving involves about a mile at low speed side streets before hitting a major road and also slow speed before shut down so no wot acceleration while cold and not supernhot oil before shut down.
Air Filter replaced every 20k miles.
Rebuilt turbo included balance graph for turbines.
