It's that time of the year. Will 15 inch wheels fit ok on these 2015 GSW ? Want steelies with the new Nokia Hakka 9's either 195/65R15 or or maybe the 185's

There are just too many to list....
ETKA shows a 15" steel wheel for those cars, and I know the A6 cars could use a 15" steel wheel BUT I am not sure about the A7s like yours. I would think it is the same.

The A5 base model Golfs (Rabbits) used a 15" steel wheel with 195-65-15-91H tires. I think my 15" snows are Q speed though.

Anyone know where 15 inch steelies can be bought besides dealer? Tire rack seems to only have the 16's

16" steel wheels are available from Tire Rack. They don't have 15s, although 15s will fit on your car. I thought about getting some Jetta S steel wheels from a wrecking yard, but I'm not sure if the offset is the same on the two cars. Bet it's not terribly different, however.

I'm running 16" alloys with Blizzaks. Doing well so far in the snow and ice we have. I've not pid attention to the offset, but the wheels are the same I used on the '09 JSW. There have not been any rubbing or tracking issues.

plug in you're car as a 2006 "jetta s" and tire rack should show 15" steelies, this is what I had to do when i bought them for my old 2010.

"MK6" JSW's could use 15", if you swapped carriers and rotors to 288mm brake setup of the 2.5L. Then after winter, you would have to swap back to the 312mm carriers and rotors of the TDI

------------------------
Anyway, it's easier to go through the dealership, as the wheels will bolt right up, using the stock lug bolts. Getting an aftermarket steel wheel may run the risk of needing additional hardware to install the wheelset. Though TireRack will install the tires onto the wheels for free, so you have that convenience and cost savings

But this is a MK7 folder, MK7 TDIs don't need to swap crap, 15's fit from factory.

Do you want steel rims just because they're cheap? Or some other reason?

I just bought some 15" alloys from Tire Rack for my 2015 GSW and put on the studded 185/65's left over from my SAAB. Paid about $400 altogether.

Not sure if I'll go for 195/65's when those wear out, seems like the narrower tire will cut deep snow better, but the speedometer will be more accurate.

Steel wheels aren't exactly aesthetically pleasing. They are for the cheapness factor, so that you can spend more on tires if you want.

FOr lug/hub cover, there is 5N0071456XRW (4 pack), but if it was like last year, they may be backordered, and the best way of getting them is through the dealership where they need the VIN with the order.

Keep an eye out on craigslist, you can usually find a set of alloys cheap. I may buy an extra set I see if they're still available. I still have the rims from the '16 Jetta that I bought, even though they're 15". They were from early 2000's Passat I was told. Guess I need to clean them off and get them on shortly to kill the fuel mileage some more:rolleyes:...

I kept my biolines from my 2010 jetta because I knew I couldn't get crap for them on craigs list. I couldn't justify maybe letting them go for $200 to then spend $400+ on replacement rims.

Ended up buying 15 inch steelies on Amazon 240 delivered. Used ones were out there just too far to drive. I've bent several alloys up here these dirt road beat rims and suspension parts so steel wheels make sense. Ill take some pics once they are on

If you bend a 15" rim with 195-65 tire, I want to see the video of it, a rim is probably going to be the least of your worries.

I agree , Maybe these factory alloys are weak but I've bent a few and it's just slight so it slowly leaks. It'll be a good test on the suspension components

They should fit. 5x112 is the lug pattern. I forget the center hub diameter.
