Looking to see if there is a graph [ like the injection timing graph log ] for injection quantity ?
I have a Ross-Tech KII-USB .
Got the car a couple months ago , average temps were just about where the glow plug system would / would not turn , and was long crank 6-10 sec. / hard start / rough idle for 3-8 sec. , quicker with more throttle .
The timing was about 32 retarded , changed the other day to 51-52 , now starts quicker , still rough idle .
This after sitting for long time , like overnight , 6-8 hrs.
Thinking with injection quality graph [ if there is one ] it would be easier to see if start / run highest quantity - in another thread showing a graph of fuel quantity - highest peak [ for short time ] at startup - wanting to see if there is a graph from VCDS so I can confirm what should be / as compared to real time graph ?
I think that there is multiple problems from past history / repairs / bad mechanics ect.
Was in the auto repair bis. , and knowing that diagnosing when multiple issues is harder , besides intermittent issues , the symptoms I finding are not intermittent / because they change over time - but on a regular / repeatable basis .
Symptoms from my short time with this car , and working on all kinds of gas . diesel etc.
As above long crank , rough idle , most would not notice in warm weather , but the cooler it is the more extreme .
Low power [ it does have the autotrans , but still ] the trans was acting up , did a fluid & filter - refill - measured old & new to top off - was about 1 1/2 qt. low - trans improved .
Engine shudder about 1,600 - 2,000 , much more pronounced when speed was just at beginning of overdrive , now with fluid & filter little change but timing reduced the amount of shudder .
Now the rough idle has surging , that was not there before IJ timing change - normal for most cars/trucks - this indicated small vacuum leak - haven't chased it yet .
Fuel mileage is too low [ I think ] about 32-34 mpg , need to finish this tank to see what changing timing does to mpg .
Dang , I was going to seperate symptoms & changes , oh well .
I did pull the EGR valve & clean , use a knife to clean intake [ on engine , ya I know ] but used shopvac to keep any carbon from going into manifold .
Getting too long , to keep on main question , is there a graph for injection quality on VCDS ?
But my way of thinking is to give some info - to get some info
