Alh injectors

I just got a 01 golf a few weeks back - the more power bug bit LONG before buying it.
The came with some dsla150p502 nozzles. Im tempted to try em. Are they worth a crap? Or they just junk?

they are oem 110hp nozzels a little upgrade for ALH without smoke

There is a noticeable difference in power with just the .205's; those nozzles are good all the way up to a 150 HP Stage 3 tune. What are you waiting for? They came free, right?

You don't mention the mileage on your TDI; if it were me, I would have DBW mount and balance them I would not do the job myself if I were you.

Chinese knock offs, We won't get anywhere near those.

If they are 502s and not 520s, original application is the 140HP AEL 5-cylinder TDI. If you have em lying aound, by all means put em them on. Worst case is you'll be going back to drivbiwire later down the road and he oughta be delighted with that.

I dunno if im a fan of the whole chinese nozzle upgrade. I might just sell these and get better nozzle

Car has 180k on it. I think its slow... I have a couple mod'd 1st gen cummins trucks. Its kinda hard to compare the power difference.

+1 for DBW. I got my DLC 1019's from him and I haven't had a single issue. Make sure to get them adjusted to stage 3 or higher. (Think of it as a limiter, it won't hurt the injectors)

I'm looking at getting 1019's but what exactly is a stage 3 adjustment?...A Tune?

It increases the maximum flow on a percentage per stage. Stage 1 is 5%, 2 is 10%, etc. It's a physical modification done by DBW. You can send them in anytime to change it as well.

Stage 1 is the default OEM/Bosch factory settings.

Stage 3 increases injected volume by 15% above the Stage 1 settings.

More often than not DO NOT start out with a higher setting unless your performance needs require it.

Some people think that setting a "Maximum" flow is the way to go, the problem is your pump and the way the system works cannot be controlled by the "Tune" as some people would think. The Hydraulics of the engines fuel system are not controlled other than to adjust Start and End of injection and approximate injected quantity. The Flow curves of the injectors are out of the control of the Tune and its why peak performance and efficiency require accurate injector overhaul and setting when installing new nozzles.

DLC 1019, Fuel volume to HP ranges:

Stage I: 120-160hp (Standard Flow Setting for most cars)
Stage II: 160-170hp
Stage III: 170-180hp
Stage IV: 180-190hp
Stage V: 190+hp

Correct, We can increase or decrease at any time, we generally do a full clean and adjust when these changes are made returning the injectors back to their original overhauled condition.
