Failed water pump

58 k failed. Metal style started leaking on way home could smell the coolant parked car just pouring out. 15 min ride home. Never have added any coolant almost 3 years belt did not fail is the bright side but only 58k and done. Kinda not very happy. I

He put or gens not sure brand. Had a guru install and the part failed so now another whole change out. Just replaced the serp belt and the coolant went everywhere!!!!!

It sucks but your saving grace is that all you need is a TB job. Not that you need a head rebuild and a TB job.

Update. Water pump shaft was bent. Not good for less than 60 k since complete service.

Shaft bent, but bearing still tight? That is strange. You wouldn't think the shaft would bend after installation. Would have been easy to spot when it was installed/new.
