The used 2015 Golf TDI SEL (manual, silk blue with black interior, about 35k miles) that I've put a deposit on is VIN 3VWRA7AU1FM036670. Just wondering if it belonged to someone in this group!

$25k?
eww
guess you gotta pay if you want a loaded stick shift
2017 GTI Sport manual, seems a strong competitor... Give up 10mpg, but get a new car with 0 miles...

It's an SEL. Pricey but I'm excited about it. I did consider a GTI but I love my TDI and wanted something as close as possible to it. It's less than I paid for my current 2011 and is more fully loaded.

I paid heaps less BRAND NEW for my 2011 w 5 miles and build in Germany Wolfsburg, this one is built in Mexico with already 1-2 yrs worth of miles? BAD DEAL

We paid $24,800 for a sel tdi Passat with 33k. It was worth it to me.
We paid about the same for our SEL with 60 miles on the clock, guess I don't feel that bad now.

Congrats on your deal, that sounds amazing! I did look around quite a bit and this was only 1 of a few manual SELs that I could find. Looking at the trim levels, transmissions, and mileage online made me more comfortable with this price. I have to wait until my buy-back date of 8/14, but I'm excited! Before this, I was completely bummed to be losing my fantastic car, but I couldn't turn down the BB money. Now I'm happy because I'll have a newer TDI with many fewer miles, and not a large monthly payment.
