ok so I recently traded my Jetta for an NB and I have two problems that I have been working on that I could use some help with from the club
1. glow plugs. car is throwing glow plug CEL I think code p0380 from what I recall when scanning it the other day. I tested them tonight with a multimeter and from left to right they read: nothing, 1.0, 1.2, 1.0
first glow plug is obviously faulty and needs to be replaced but what would cause it to not read anything?
2. driver side door lock. the passenger door works perfectly fine; it locks and unlocks with the key and activates the alarm when locked. the driver side does not activate the alarm when locked with the key and will not turn to unlock. car did not come with a key fob so I cannot test if that will work and it is just the key cylinder that is faulty. has anyone else had this problem? I would like to fix it asap as I do not like leaving my doors unlocked nor do I want to have to go through the passenger door everytime I want to get into my car if I do lock them. sidenote: do not know if this is related, but I have noticed that the driver side window rolls up and down a little slower than the passenger side does.
