Can't get headlight out...

I finally got the driver's side out, but it was very sticky with dirt. Bulb looked good so I put it back in and it came on when I smacked it. Loose somewhere.

But the passenger side will not budge, the tab. Looks like the release lock is knocked out of both sides. I'm at the point of almost breaking the tab off. I don't want that to happen.

Does anyone know of a trick to free up slide?

Maybe push the socket in then pull the clip & socket. Wiggle it a bit at the same time.
I don't know if a bit of penetrating oil would help but you did mention: 'it was very sticky with dirt' on the other side.
