Anyone have more details on that turbo, looks interesting.
Hi.Hi guys, what turbo model has the new 2.0 TDI 190 hp?sorry for my bad english.
thanks
I was looking in bmw center andorra! Good turbo
It is easier to search if you useHi.
As far as I know, the new 2.0tdi engines with 190hp ( engine code: CNHA ) have borgwarner BV43D. This turbo is very new, it`s very hard to find.
Did you end up getting to the bottom of this ? I've only had my hands on a BV43.Sorry for the late reply.Do you know if there are more differences between the pd 170 BV43 and the CR 170 BV43a ? I just fitted one to a 1.9 Tdi quattro audi a4 with AFN engine, had to swap both housings (hot/cold) as they are different. The only thing to note was the BV43a had billet alloy compressor wheel... Also the actuators/stop screws have different settings and the bv43a does not give me the kick in the back i am used to from the BV43, even with race 520 nozzles and ported head ! Should i try the BV43 actuator and stop screw ?
billet wheel and 6+6 wheel. Possibly heavier.
Ended up selling the turbo to a chap off another VAG Uk based forum, in the end he had it fitted and mapped by Darkside, results were about 180 Bhp on a AVF pd 130 audi a4 b6- a bit disappointing considering the bv43 does about 20 Bhp more !Did you end up getting to the bottom of this ? I've only had my hands on a BV43.Sorry for the late reply.
Bv43a is billet and has 2mm bigger inducer than Bv43b, still smaller than the bv43...billet wheel and 6+6 wheel. Possibly heavier.
I ve run bv43 and 0.341 nozzles and it was fun.
The bv43a may allow to inject more, bigger nozzles would seem to fit )
I have noted same compressor diameters for bv43 and bv43a.. do not know for sure who is right thoughBv43a is billet and has 2mm bigger inducer than Bv43b, still smaller than the bv43...
Anyone has information for my answer? Thanks guys for the reply.
I 'm looking a turbo for a fiat 1.3 multijet engine and I want to make the best choice to have minimal lag and a lot of power over 200hp.
The Fiat 1.3 Multijet engine ( 1248cc ) is really small . The amount of smoke that it generated is very little .To Load a big turbo is very difficult.
In my country (Italy) is usually used a GTB1549v (2.0 Multijet 170hp) to make a lot of power 190-200hp ( at 2.5-2.8bar ) but it has much lag. it has full boost at 2800-3000rpms.
For an average power is usually used a GTB1446vz (1.6 Multijet 120 hp )to make normal power 135-145hp at 1.8-2.2 bar(depends of the boost) with minimal lag.
I'm looking for the latest generation of Garrett GTD series turbo's and I'm very interested in ceramic ball bearing turbo to reduce lag, for example GTD1752vrk of lastest 2.0bmw 190hp engine's. It is a wonderful turbo for big power but I do not know how much lag can make it.
Anyone knows a little more small ceramic ball bearing turbo's of GTD1752vrk? For example GTD15XXvrk,GTD14XXvrk?
The GTD1449vz of 2.0 tdi 184hp is not ceramic ball bearing and it is integrated into the exhaust manifold.
The borgwargner bv43d is ceramic ball bearing? It is only available integrated with the exhaust manifold?
Thanks
Been used in production in the Borg Warner EFR family of turbos for some years already.
That was not your original question. This was:Yes it has, but as you know EFR does not come with VNT
I find the implemention of TiAl most interesting some here now more about it?
That was not your original question. This was:
Very old......from some MACK truck.....It is an old 4LE turbocharger...
