Well, I can't take credit for mine, but I bought it a few weeks ago with over 230,000 miles... still running strong! I've already put a couple thousand on it since.
Just passed my wifes mileage in the Jetta with my Golf and now both are over 200K and still running great. Although the auto tranny may give up in the Jetta soon I fear.
On my third timing belt, and just replaced the brakes for the first time. Other than that just glow plugs and water temp sensor. I think I'll change the wheel bearings and axles as a preventive measure. I use bio-diesel and Chevron Delo 400 Synthetic 5W40 with Manning filters.
221000 and counting. Bought my car three years ago with 123000. Still on the original clutch, but recently had to replace cyl head due to cheap chinese timing belt!! RRrr!!
Other than that running strong!
I've got a 02 TDI Jetta that hit the 200k mile mark (or 320k something km) about 700 miles ago.
I don't plan to stop driving this car until it dies and simply can not be fixed, I've done this with all my cars and this one has gone longer then anything I've had before.
04 Jetta VW with BEW engine................... 200,000 by the end of the day. I was running Valvoline Euro blend 5w/40. I burned about a quart every 10,000 miles. I've switched to Schaeffer's oil that meets the VW specs and I'm not burning oil anymore. Dunno how that has happened, but the dipstick doesn't lie. Stage 1 tune on 100,000 miles - 200,000 miles. Now to add more fuel and more boost.
Crossed 200k in a sandstorm in northern AZ last week.
All stock @ 202k and needing a bath upon arrival home yesterday. Got over 50 mpg and burned 1/2 quart in 12k. Amazing engines.
I just bought a 2000 golf in perfect condition. It has 257,000 on it. So far I drove it around 1000 miles. I had a jetta with 80,000 and this high mile golf runs way better and mileage is better. The trans was acting funny so I changed fluid and added Lucas. It works perfect now.
I just crossed 200K last night in my 01 Golf GL, I wanted to snap a picture but I was the DD so my thoughts were not the tripOD, when I got home and realized it I was at 200016 and that doesnt make for a very interesting picture.
My 98 Jetta has 235xxx on it, its just sitting though, hasnt been driven in a few months.
Just turned 240,000 miles here on a red 1996 B4 Passat. Still my daily driver, running good right now. I need to grind out and refinish some small rust spots but otherwise great condition. Just love this car. Hate to think of getting rid of it.
going to be at 230,000 by the end of the coming week. bought it in october with 215k, injection pump seized december 28th with 223,8xx on it and the car was apart until the end of february. so ive done about 6,000 miles in just over 1 month.
